Industrial Design

Project at Pentagram Design
Design of a trophy for a new European club football competition.
Full case study: ︎︎︎

Designed to simbolize optimism, potential and opportunity for greatness, the trophy’s core element are the 32 curved hexagonal tubes, one for each team in the tournament, inspired by the flight of a football towards the goal - a highlighy moment of greatness in the sport.
Looking at it’s best while held aloft by the winners, the trophy stands for the new tournament, built to open up European cups to more teams, and for those who shine, a potential career booster allowing them to rise above.
Supporting the lead designer on the project, I took charge of tracing and profiling famous football kicks to extract the ball flight curvature, and was later responsible for creating the first full scale models of the trophy for client approval, and supporting production and delivery of the final trophy.
